The Neyk DSRV Submarine

For highly dedicated DSRV and deep sea operations Ocean Submarine provides a tailor made diving solution that easily resists up till 90 bars of water pressure giving a diving platform up to 3.000 feet. To achieve that, our deep going NEYK has an extra pressure body consisting of six spherical interlinked compartments.

The deep going version of the NEYK can be built completely custom made to meet the most demanding specifications. Its remarkable manoeuvrability is another main asset of this compact but highly dedicated underwater vessel.

The deep going versions of our NEYK are totally different from our mono pressure hull submarines.

The six high pressure resistant interlinked chambers are separated by watertight hatches or air locks that separate each chamber from the other. Every dome has a single purpose layout for instance for navigating, diving, propulsion and research.

Another key feature is the extremely good hoovering function of the sub. Providing an underwater working platform that fully computerized stays at one place within parts of centimetres.

The deep going NEYK by Ocean Submarine for offshore and scientific use has a multihull configuration. The outer hull provides the low drag shape of the vessel and stores the mechanical controls for diving fins, rudders and bow and aft thrusters. Also the propulsion pots are attached to the outer hull. The inner hull consists of six interlinked spherical fully pressurised domes. Three of them (aft to front) have fixed functions as storage room for oxygen and air control main engine room and command centre for the navigator and the two pilots. The other three spheres can be used for dedicated tasks.

The deep going heavy duty version of NEYK is highly impact resistant what makes it a rugged versatile under water platform for any offshore tasks and scientific and or historical exploration. The vessel can be provided with a saturating diving chamber with a hatch to the outside of the sub that can accompany up to eight divers at a time. The outside hatch can also connect with another platform for maintenance issues or act as a rescue hatch. The other large sphere can be used for actual research or living quarters. The sphere in the bow can be equipped with a second large acrylate dome for an excellent view. Here one or two operators can work a hydraulic arm or other specific equipment.

Built modularly, the NEYK is very easy to transport. The vertical diving rudders and the conning tower can be removed within a few hours, so that the submarine can easily be used all over the world.

What way you give your deep going NEYK submarine its specialized purpose the main features stay the same. Our excellent design always guarantees the highest achievable comfort for your crew to accomplish their job at hand.

That starts with the revolutionary steering design that makes the vessel the most agile submarine ever made.

For easy handling all integrated electronical control and monitoring systems makes the submarine

completely operated by wire with only two joysticks. Manoeuvring is very precise and predictable. The NEYK can turn on its keel within seconds or hoover fully automated within parts of a centimetre at one spot.

For all users the great manoeuvrability must be a real revelation.

Due to the two separately placed main engines that separately can be reversed, four vertical diving rudders and a main rudder, a bow and a stern thruster the whole submarine can turn on a dime in only seconds. Hovering is really brought to the next level.

The NEYK can stay actively in one place by the use of two extra vertical thrusters placed in the dome on top of the tower that can create the necessary up and downforce. This process can be completely computerised at pre-set parameters.
